Mobile IoT webinar
Internet of Things (IoT) is a hot topic generating lots of expectations and futuristic visions, but also some confusion and concerns about its impact on mobile networks. These networks – originally designed for human-to-human communication – will need to handle very large amounts of machine-to-machine communication with different requirements, characteristics and patterns compared to human-generated traffic.
Several companies and standards development organizations (SDOs) are involved in creating new technologies for local and wide area networks, application platforms and service requirements to enable deployment of machine-type communication in the IoT. One of these are obviously 3GPP. Already existing and currently specified 3GPP networks and technologies are expected to play a significant role in the near future, and the standards include a multitude of changes and additions to enable mobile networks to handle new traffic generated by a massive amount of connected devices or “things”.
We are glad to offer you the opportunity to attend our Mobile IoT webinar free-of-charge via Apis IP-Solutions Virtual Classroom:
Date: June 20th 2017
Time (two sessions): 10 am – 11 am CEST and 4 pm – 5 pm CEST
Speaker: Konrad Budych
Topics:
- What is IoT, M2M, MTC, and other similar buzzwords?
- A look into IoT applications.
- Overview of issues and challenges for the mobile networks.
- A glimpse into various technologies from the IoT area.
- What happens to GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSPA/LTE networks and what can LTE-M, NB-IoT and EC-GSM-IoT offer?
- A brief look into 3GPP core network changes and service platforms.
Registration:
To sign up for this webinar, please send an email to events@apistraining.com and let us know which session you would like to attend (10 am or 4 pm CEST).
