The course focuses on the fundamental services found in an OpenStack such as; networking with SDN features, block and object storage, virtualization mechanisms, as well as examples of new components added the past years, such as Heat, Ironic, and Trove.

It will also give examples of issues with installation and deployment and high availability mechanisms available. Several live demonstrations with a real multi-node cloud are used to show the discussed mechanisms and how they work in a real cloud.

Prerequisites

Students should be technical IT professionals with prior experience in virtualization technology and basic knowledge of IP networking (IP addressing, switching and routing

NOTE: This course is not delivered with the FoldOut methodology.
